  3.                YAESU FT-73R MODIFICATION.

  6. This modification converts the set from 430.00 MHz to 440.00 MHz.
  7.  
  8. 1. Remove links 7 & 8 which will open the display from 220 - 550 MHz.
  9. 2. With a digital voltmeter measure the voltage on pin 6 of the
  10.    (PLL IC).
  11. 3. Remove the copper plate over the VCO.
  12. 4. Inside should be two trimmers next to each other.
  13. 5. On TX at the bottom of the band (433.00 MHz), adjust the right hand
  14.    trimmer to read .1V on pin 6 of the PLL IC.
  15. 6. On RX, adjust the other trimmer for .1V on pin 6 of the PLL IC.
  16. 7. Keep adjusting until .1V is obtained on both TX and RX.

  19.          Yaesu FT-73Rfrequency coverage modification

  22. This modification converts the coverage from 430-440MHz to 433-453MHz.
  23.  
  24. 1. Remove links 7 & 8 which will open the display from 220-550MHz.

  26. 3. Remove the copper plate over the V.C.O.
  27. 4. Inside should be two trimmers next to each other.
